I hope you are well. I am writing today to share with you our plans for summer meal service.

Hanover County Public Schools is participating in the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to all individuals 18 years old and younger at no charge on a first come, first serve basis, at the sites and times as follows:

Mechanicsville Elementary School (Monday, June 15 through Thursday, July 30)

Breakfast (in the cafeteria): 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on Mondays through Thursdays
Lunch (in the cafeteria): 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Mondays through Thursdays

Ashland Elementary School (Monday, June 15 through Thursday, July 30)

Breakfast (in the cafeteria): 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on Mondays through Thursdays
Lunch (in the cafeteria): 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Mondays through Thursdays

Please note that there will be no meal service on Thursday, June 18 due to our schools being closed in recognition of Juneteenth. Additionally, there will be no meal service on Thursday, July 2 due to our schools being closed for Independence Day. We greatly appreciated your support this school year and look forward to continuing to serve our students this summer.

The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
